Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A robust & popular bellflower that is tolerant of more sun & more drought than its cousins. Leaves are low & green most of the year, forming a dense spreading carpet to 4” high by 2' wide. In Spring, tall sturdy stems arise, & are topped with large, dense clusters of very bright purple flowers that bring in the hummingbirds, butterflies, & bees! Swoonful! 2.5' long stems make these flowers superb for cutting, & once established it will produce a huge number of blooming stems each year. Inlanders should plant this one in part sun. Rich soil is preferred! Reblooms if deadheaded.
