Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This isn’t your grandmother’s Brunfelsia for sure! A subtly showy & tropical looking shrub from Chiapas, Mexico for part sun or shade, with small, bright red 1” trumpet flowers that are sure to make your garden hummingbird central. It eventually makes a sprawling evergreen shrub to 3’ tall & wide, so far it’s survived two Winters in the ground here at the nursery with very little die back. Bloom time lasts as long as the heat does – roughly from Spring through Fall. Rich soil in bright, filtered light with average to regular water for best show! Certainly this would be a sophisticated compliment to the shady perennial border, & for gardens that aspire to the tropical look.
