Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Love Beschornerias but have a small garden? Then this petite Beschorneria will fit right in. The narrow leaves are about 2’ long & ½” wide, forming a rosette that fits in well with other plantings. The flower stalk is still showy though. It gets to be 6’ tall & is a lovely pink color. The branching spike holds many red & green flowers that hummingbirds adore. Blooms April-May. The photos of this Beschorneria are taken by Brian Kemble of the Ruth Bancroft Garden. Their specimen grows beautifully with succulent foliage complimenting the pink of the Beschorneria flower spike. Even if you have a large garden you will enjoy growing this smaller Beschorneria. Provide well-drained soil.
