Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A rare, large flowered, very dwarf Babiana native to sandy coastal flats of the Cape. Growing only to 5” tall, the blue or purple flowers have white markings & are deliciously rose-violet scented. Very easy to grow, this Spring bloomer loves sandy soil (though will thrive in well-drained garden soil) & doesn’t mind Summer watering. Multiplies nicely & excellent in a pot.
