Aquilegia yabeana is a broadleaf deciduous perennial with green foliage. In spring and summer blue flowers emerge. Attracts bees, butterflies and hummingbirds making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - dappled shade and even moisture - regular water. Adapts to various soil conditions. Does well in average, gritty, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something verticillium wilt resistant.

A tall spring blooming columbine with many inky blue spurred flowers dangling from wiry stems, giving a candelabra effect. Found in the mountains of Japan, it is very hardy and great in combination with golden-leafed feverfew 'Aureum in spring.
This is a new Columbine just introduced into cultivation. A native of Japan it grows 20” by 10” and bears intense inky-blue long spurred flowers.
