Zn 7. Upright with gentian blue flowers all summer
Clusters of bright, marine-blue flowers, like tiny forget-me-nots, rise 12" above the hairy leaves in June & July. Sun/Med/GDr
Mobs of intense deep true blue “Forget Me Nots” are held in tight 8” clusters on this bushy, branching South African native to 15” x 15”. Almost smothering the foliage, it creates a great mass of royal blueness for months. I love it with Cotula lineariloba ‘Big Yellow Moon’ & Ursinia anthemoides. Tolerant of poor dry soil once established, it goes nuts in well-drained soil & rock gardens & can be cut back for a second & third round of bloom. Often grown as a self-sowing annual, it can live over & bloom in Winter here in coastal California. Blooms very quickly & self sows!
