Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Woohoo! An extremely rare & truly magnificent Alstroemeria. We are so lucky to have gotten our paws on some of the seed brought back from a recent Chilean expedition. The huge, bright magenta-violet blooms have a yellow patch above the center & beautiful turquoise blue pollen on the anthers. With stems to 2’ tall, it makes a superb, long lasting cut flower. Vigorous & possibly invasive in the garden - so be warned - put her in a large pot if this will be a problem for you. Rich, well-drained soil is best. Deciduous & so needs no Summer water after bloom is finished.
