Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This only recently discovered species of Albuca is the giant in the genus, with flower stalks that can reach up to a towering 6'! From a winter rainfall area of South Africa, so a summer dry period is necessary, & as it’s native to sandy soils, good drainage is likely to be essential. Blooms in late summer, after its leaves have died away, so it’s dramatic in that aspect as well! Blooms are typical of many Albuca species, - yellow, pendulant, & many to a spike.
