Nursery contributed plant descriptions

You just can’t ask for an easier to grow plant than Yarrow. ‘Rosy Red’ is both drought & heat tolerant, accustomed to poor soils & little care. The plant basically grows itself & when it flowers your butterflies & bees will thank you! I’ve also seen Achilleas used to great effect as a substitute lawn turf - though of course when it is walked on a great deal it blooms much less. Makes a great cut flower! This special selection originally hails from the Channel Islands & is variable from seed. Some are a deep, rosy pink but the color can range to almost white. Each 2’ flowering stem is topped with a 3” umbel of flowers that start pink & age to a deeper red. To 24” x 18”.
