Layia gaillardioides is a broadleaf deciduous annual / biennial with green foliage. In spring and summer yellow flowers emerge. Attracts bees and butterflies making it an excellent addition to pollinator gardens. Grows well with sun - mostly sun and regular - low water. Does well in average and well-drained soil.

Woodland tidytips is a lovely annual wildflower for sunny, as well partly-shaded gardens. Growing to 1-2' tall & covered with a myriad a bright yellow flowers resembling miniature Gaillardias (“Blanket Flower”). It is very popular with butterflies & native bees & was a definite winner in our new plant trials last year. It reseeds nicely, too. Native to the California coastline (including Contra Costa County) & the Coast Mountain Ranges.
