Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Wicker Buckwheat is a showy California annual with clusters of vivid rose pink flowers during the summer & fall. The wiry stems interlace to make an 18” dome with the appearance of a flower covered wicker basket. Although it is naturally found on volcanic or granite sand or gravel in the Klamath & High Sierras Ranges, it seems to be easy to grow, & it adapts very well to regular soil & low altitude garden conditions. Give it full sun & little water after it is established.
