    Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Delicate & ethereal, “White Prickly Poppy” has 4”, pure white, crepe-like flowers that form a striking contrast to its spiny, silvery leaves. The flowers, with their numerous golden yellow stamens & central maroon eye (stigma), appear April to October. The beautiful foliage is intense silvery blue & completely covered with spines, which makes it totally DEER PROOF. A stunning addition to a wildflower garden, it grows easily in light, well-drained soil, preferring non-fertile soil. To 3’ tall. Handle with care. Warning! Seeds & other parts of this plant are poisonous. Don't eat.
