Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Centradenia floribunda (Spanish Shawl) is a beautiful, easy to grow plant that a good friend gave to us. The plant has dark bronze to chocolate colored foliage and large bright pink flowers. It can be grown as a ground cover, hanging pot or as a trailing plant. This plant is worth growing. Foliage: Bronze to dark chocolate colored foliage Flowers: Bright pink flowers Height: Trailing climber hanging
I’m extremely impressed with the full coverage & awesome appearance of this almost unknown groundcover. Certainly not in that rather large category of wimpy & unsatisfactory groundcovers, it spreads quickly to almost 6’ across & as much as 18” tall. Praiseworthy bright coppery-bronze shiny foliage make it a true stand-out in the garden, adding tons of long-range foliar interest & contrast. And wow, what a backdrop the leaves & ruby stems create for the showy bright magenta-pink flowers! Trailing stems root along the ground & are simple to control. Cascades beautifully out of beds, containers & hanging baskets!
