Finely textured perennial with brilliant silver foliage and small magenta flowers. Mounding habit to 12" with a 4' spread. Drought tolerant and prefers full sun. Not a heavy bloomer, but the sparkling foliage is all you need. Plants in our garden have been pleasantly reseeding themselves. South Africa.

I'm so in love with this plant! A beautiful, tough, silvery groundcover for sun, forming a mat one foot high & 3' wide. The silvery, finely-cut leaves give your garden a sweet, soft look. My plants occasionally bloom in Summer with 1” purple flowers. They aren't profuse but that's fine with me as I love it for its foliage. It combines so well with other plants. I especially like it growing underneath Aeonium undulatum & next to Euphorbia characias 'Dwarf'. From South Africa, it is drought tolerant & does well with good drainage. Best in sun since in the shade it gets kind of lanky.
