Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This comely, very rare perennial “Wallflower” is native to San Francisco & coastal bluffs from Santa Cruz to Sonoma County. Forming a sub-shrub, 1-2’ tall & wide, it bears large, dome-like clusters of sweetly fragrant, bright yellow flowers Spring through Summer, above dark, green, dense foliage. It thrives in sandy soil, as well as average garden soil. Extra good karma points for you - as it’s also a great food source for the endangered San Bruno Elfin Butterfly. The primary host plant is Sedum spathulifolium, but the adult butterflies love the nectar of this species as well. EASY!
