Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Native to seacoasts along the Mediterranean & Europe, “Rock Samphire” makes an interesting, unusual plant for rock walls, rock gardens & containers, as well as garden beds. Since it’s native to rocky seasides, it does best with good drainage especially gravelly soils. From 1’-2’ tall, it makes a much branched, trailing plant with narrow, fleshy, blue-green foliage topped by attractive, dense, chartreuse umbels. Thrives in salt-spray. Somewhat drought tolerant.
