Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Native to our coast and transverse ranges, from Alameda and all the way down to San Bernardino County and eastward through the Sierra Nevada foothills, this delicate looking wild Snapdragon is sadly on the decline. ½” pink and creamy - yellow flowers are densely borne on 3' flower spikes above the two foot evergreen foliage. Heavily used by hummingbirds, its tolerant of many soils - including clay. Butterflies love it too. Blooms in late Spring and Summer. Cut back to 12” during winter to keep it looking pretty! California native and deer proof.
