A hot pink Arizona Native! It is always a head-turner when blooming among the cactus. 2-3 ft tall when blooming. Prefers well drained soil and full sun. It grows up into the mountains, so it is probably hardy to zone 6 or 7. For sale are plants in 2" pots. They will probably bloom next spring.
The easiest species Penstemon for garden soil, this very beautiful plant honors the great botanist Charles C. Parry. Bright pink flower, 3/4” funnel-shaped flowers are dramatically displayed on distinctive showy spikes 1'-3' tall. The bloom season is Feb. thru April and the flowers are very attractive to hummingbirds. Pretty, narrow, bluish foliage too. It said to be spectacular when massed.
