Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A seriously showy succulent! In early Summer it puts on a Vegas-style show of flashy, hot magenta flowers 2” across & packed with petals at branch tips. Leaves are 3” long, & interestingly geometric & angular. Over time it becomes quite shrubby, attaining 2.5’ in height & width. This species is fast to flower & will often do so the first year from seed! Erepsia lacera has a lifespan of 5-8 years, & is easily grown from cuttings if one needs replacing. And our Mediterranean climate is quite similar to the area of South Africa where this plant comes from, so it should thrive here. It would prefer good drainage & low water, in a sunny position.
