Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Fun & unusual, this native of the U.K. & northern Europe is a good choice for damp, shady areas. The shiny, succulent, circular leaves with scalloped edges form a tight mound 4”-5” tall. From May through September it bears hyacinth-like flowering spikes (to 15”) of pendulous, bell-shaped creamy green blooms, which are surprisingly striking. In its native habitat “Wall Pennywort” is found growing on permanently damp & shady rock walls & steep banks so good drainage would seem to be important. I’m planting one under my leaky faucet!
