A most beautiful and curious carrot relation, ghostly white in all aspects. Fine, fretted, narrow architectural foliage covered with a waxy silver bloom. Can you say moon garden? Up to 4 ft tall, capped in mid summer with flat heads of spherical flowers, pink fading to cream. Usually biennial, so collect and sow seed. Full sun and well-drained soil. Frost hardy in USDA zone 5.
Looks like an alien, a weird…pretty alien! Striking clumps of silvery, ferny, succulent foliage to12-18” tall the first year…followed in the second year by large umbels of light pink pompoms on 2-3’ stems in summer. Easy in well drained soils, dryish to medium moisture in full sun. Technically a biennial or short lived perennial but almost always persists thru reseeding itself. Deer resistant
Yes, that's the common name, and although it sounds sci-fi-fi, it's kind of catchy. A biennial, it has delicate silver-grey fern-like foliage on a thick stem, reaching up to 3' tall. During the summer of its second year the plants branch and explode with umbels of pale pink to white flowers. Seseli prefers a well-drained soil and full sun. Bees love Moon Carrot.
Dressed in lacy elegance, thick upright stems entertain a wealth of silver-gray fernlike foliage. The starry, snow-white flowers blush with pinkish hues as they explode from tight white buds, fashioning huge, branched flat umbels perched well above the poised architectural foundation. A mesmerizing focal point for the perennial border or a meadow planting, Moon Carrot favors well drained soil, makes an exquisite cut flower and easily reseeds, offering some consolation for the fact that it can be short-lived.
Moon carrot, We grew this years ago but I don't think we ever cataloged it, an oversight which we have rectified, it is an odd little umbellifer with lovely filigree bluish gray glaucous foliage that is attractive as a food plant for Black Swallowtail butterflies and pure white umbels of Queen Ann's Lace flowers. This has been a huge hit in the display garden. ZONE 5
From Turkey and Eastern Europe comes this surreal, biennial member of the carrot family. Silvery-blue mounds of lacy foliage throw up fat, branching stems of creamy-white umbels followed by the unavoidable death of the plant but no loss, as providing there is good drainage and a sunny exposed position, a healthy crop of seedlings should appear the following Winter. Tolerant of dry, stony, and poor soils this plant is astounding in scattered drifts with winter bulbs, Catmints, Lambs ears, Anthemis or any other tough low growing plants.

The basal rosette of succulent, silvery-blue, lacy foliage is substantial. The second year it produces a succession of five-inch umbels of pale pink flowers that fade to white. Use as a focal point in the garden. Biennial or short-lived perennial. Xeriscape. Garden loam, clay or sandy soil. USDA zones 5-9.
A plant you will love!! Absolutely yummy, lacey, silvery-grey, dissected foliage. The huge, branched umbels are held well above the gorgeous leaves in Summer. Can be used to great effect in the garden. To 30” x 15”. Boo-hoo, it’s not perennial. But then again it reseeds easily, so, that’s probably even better! It likes good drainage. (no clay).
