Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A very hard to find Savory that is NATIVE AND ENDEMIC to California. Masses of orange & red flowers are present in great abundance all Summer into Fall. Its fairly fast growing, making a 2-3’ clump, 12” high, in one season, & in tolerates clay soil very well so long as there is moisture present. In propagator Anni J’s garden if thrives in DRY SHADE, & looks splendid paired with Heuchera maxima & Aquilegia Formosa. Downy foliage has a minty smell that reminds me of catmint, & the plant wanders a little, but is basically a clumper. We’ve never seed it freeze in this area, but we’re not sure exactly how hardy it is. Cut back to the ground in Fall. HUMMINGBIRD MAGNET!
