Nursery contributed plant descriptions

If you buy this plant, make sure you don’t forget to plant it & let it die, ’cause it’s SO RARE & FABULOUS, it would just break my heart!! Not that it’s hard to grow – in fact it’s quite simple. Just full sun & rich well-drained soil. Just don’t let it get crowded by neighboring plants. This is the very rare “Giant Flowered Variety” of South Africa’s fabulous “Fairy Wand” or “Angel’s Wand.” Growing to 6’ tall, it bears exceptionally large 3” pendulous, funnel-shaped flowers, lavender-violet in color. The lovely blooms appear in clusters at the end of the arching, upright stems in late Spring above the evergreen (in mild areas) clump of slender, grassy foliage. Each year the clump will get larger & produce more & more flowering stems. Delightful arching over the edge of a bed or in a good sized container (5 gallons & up).
