Described as spectacular in bloom, this critically endangered South African shrub from the Borage family creates a dense, bright green mound to 4’ x 4’ bearing attractive, shiny, long, oval shaped leaves. Beautiful many flowered clusters appear for 3 months in Spring, each holding long, flaring, tubular reddish pink flowers, displaying lime green throats. Lustworthy! Our own plant growing in our dry demonstration bed has yet to bloom, but internet photos have us drooling in anticipation! Well drained soil with annual side-dress of compost. Known only from 30 individual plants growing in one locality near Gouritz, S. Africa.
