Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Cilantro is a versatile plant: when young it is used for the leaves, when blooming the flowers can be added to salads & the seed has a totally different citrus-like flavor that can be used as a spice. 'Delfino' was one of the 2006 AAS (All-American Selection) winners most likely because it's more resistant to bolting than others. Best known & grown as a salsa ingredient in the Summer, it is actually much easier to grow for the home gardener during the Fall & Winter when temperatures are cooler. Plant in good garden soil 4-8” apart & keep well watered. It is a ferny-leafed cilantro & is much easier to chop than the regular type.
