Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Awesome robust primrose with whorls of summer flowers, ripe mango buds opening to rich, coral orange on stems 18” tall! Likes moist to wet soil, sun to light shade, will even thrive in standing water. Rarely offered and choice! Limited supply.
Blooms late spring-summer. Spikes of tiered whorled yellow blooms. Lance shaped leaves in rosette. Looks spectacular in masses. Zone 5-8. 2', China, part shade-sun, moist, humus rich.
Striking whorls of fragrant, orange-yellow tubular flowers are arranged in tiers & make this one of the most easily recognized species of Primulas. Many 20” flowering stems arise from a sturdy clump of dark green leaves. Perfect next to a water feature or fairly moist shady area. Other than moist soil, all it needs is an annual top-dress of compost once a year to keep it beautiful. Very long lived! Good in pots, too!
