Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Clusters of arching tubes open pure white with raspberry pink starry centers. They are sweetly fragrant in the evening and morning hours, closing as the sun's strength increases. The plant has a relaxed habit, with soft velvety leaves.
Coming from rocky upland canyons that have some flowing summer water in Arizona, Texas, and Mexico, it is extremely drought-tolerant but is not adverse to water. It typically blooms after rains and opens at night to be pollinated by nocturnal hummingbird moths. Your nose will guide you to its exquisitely fragrant blooms shining white on a moonlit summer night. Very narrow and very long arching red tubes open flat, exposing all the beautiful detail of its white flower with magenta center and extremely long and curling stamens. The leaves are blue-green and heart-shaped and form a mound 3'x3'. Poor soil? No problem. Deer or Snails? Still no problem. And not invasive like the common Four O-Clocks, so don't worry. Just enjoy. Minimum temperature: 0?F
Extremely drought tolerant, this easy & reliable Southwest perennial bears exquisitely fragrant blooms. You’ll have to visit them after 5 PM or before 10 AM, as that’s when the flowers open to attract you & the nocturnal moths that pollinate them. Pretty pure white funnel flowers with deep magenta centers open out from long arching red tubes & sport even longer magenta stamens. “Angel’s Trumpets” forms a carefree 3’ x 3’ mound of attractive blue-green heart shaped leaves. Not fussy about soil, it’s also deer & snail resistant. Long lived & tuberous rooted, it’s not invasive like common “Four O’Clocks.” A dramatic addition to the moonlight garden!
