Nursery contributed plant descriptions

The foliage of this fabulous perennial creates a fountain of long streaked and silver-spotted leaves. The one foot tall basal clump is topped by profuse clusters of large drooping clusters of cobalt-blue spring flowers. The charming combination brings to mind the famous fountain in Rome where it got its name. This cultivar has good resistance to powdery mildew. PSh-S/M PP13047
Cobalt blue flowers in mid-late spring above 6" long silvery spotted foliage. After bloom, cut back the withering flower stems, which will encourage new foliar growth. 'Trevi Fountain' will thrive in the summer heat, adding cool looking deer resistant foliage to your shady garden. Grows 10" tall and 20" wide.
This plant has superb silver-spotted foliage with profuse clusters of large cobalt-blue flowers. One of our favourites. Mildew resistant.
This superb, brightly silver-spotted beauty will give rise to profuse clusters of large cobalt-blue flowers in spring. A stunner! We feel it is our best, true dark-blue and grows into a magnificent landscape specimen. The roots of this plant are in P. longifolia, the best form for the south, according to John Elsley.
