Bold, colorful, heart-shaped leaves feature a gorgeous deep-burgundy splash in the middle of lush bright-green. Exquisite, fragrant lavender blossoms with a white throat in spring. This is a truly unique violet, wonderful as a groundcover or planted as a shrub understory. Unlike some violets, this one is well-behaved, the flowers don't seed around. PSh-Sh/M PP19996
idy but vigorous 6-8” clumps of heart shaped leaves with luscious deep burgundy stained centers surrounded by bright green edges... striking! Fragrant lavender flowers in spring are shy and mostly hidden by the foliage...but OH THE FOLIAGE!! Does not seem to set any seed...so does not have the bad habits of other violets. Moist organic soils are preferred...part sun to shade. Rather rare in the trade, but WE have it!
Zn 5. Burgundy sploched leaves. Lavender blooms.
Lovely, narrowly heart-shaped leaves have deep burgundy centers that contrast with the bright green leaf edges. A wonderful foliage plant that also has purple flowers. 8" T x 12" W Minimum temperature: 15?F
Your eyes won't believe these bold leaves with a strongly contrasting deep burgundy splash. Wonderful foliage plant. Strong textured leaves set off lavender flowers in the early spring. Attractive in containers, the front of the border, or as a ground cover.
