Large 6" silver!! leaves veined in apple-green shimmer like a looking glass especially when topped by starry blue flowers in spring; a dense carpet (to 15" high x 18"), a stunning backdrop. PSh/M
B. ‘LOOKING GLASS’ - is a solid silver Siberian bugloss. The foliage comes up in March with the rich blue forget me not flowers. All summer the silver heart shaped leaves really show up against other woodlanders.
This sport of the oh-so-popular 'Jack Frost' has incredible completely silver leaves ('Jack Frost' has green veins). But you must follow a simple recipe. Take one 'Looking Glass' and add it to one prominent spot in the shade border. Combine with plants of contrasting foliage. Add a small measure of trust and a dash of patience. 'Looking Glass' won't achieve its all silver look until it's mature in a year or so. Until then it will look like 'Jack Frost' but definitely worth the short wait. Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens.
Heavily silvered leaves Jack Frost sport
Similar to jack frost but with even better silver it is outstanding and may eventually surpass Jack Frost in popularity. ZONE 4
These leaves are so light and so nearly metallic you can see yourself in them. Lovely effect with green veins showing through the variegation and the leaf edges pulled under. Just wonderful when the petite blue flowers bloom over the mounding foliage. A "Shining Star" for your shady border.

Clumping perennial 14" tall and wide with sprays of wispy blue flowers above pure silver heart-shaped leaves.
Shimmering silver 5" heart-shaped leaves bedeck this sport of Brunnera 'Jack Frost'. The mound gives rise to masses of blue, forget me not flowers appearing in spring. Provide evenly moist, rich soils for the best growth. Glows in the garden.
