Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Agastache are incredibly useful for clouds of colour through the summer months. 'Summer Glow' has massive numbers of densely clustered large lemon-custard yellow flowers with burnt orange sepals that bloom all summer into fall. Up to two feet tall with bright green, fragrant foliage. The Summer Series have sepals that remain in colour and do not brown like other agastache giving these cultivars a much longer season of interest. Even without a single flower there is still colour! Sun, dry soil.
A new color in agastache, with open spikes of warm-hued yellow flowers set off by plum calyces. Tolerates wetter climates well, good for Eastern gardens. Combine with coneflowers for a summer garden filled with hummingbirds and butterflies.
Agastache 'Summer Glow' is another of the few hummingbird mint hybrids (a Terra Nova introduction) that has prospered here in the Southeast. This selection forms a compact 30" tall x 3' wide clump of stems, topped from spring through fall with open floral spikes of small yellow-orange flowers atop the minty-fresh foliage. Good drainage is always important with agastaches, but Agastache 'Summer Glow' has sailed through our sporadic summer downpour season in great shape. PP20,980
New color break for Agastache which brings yellow tinted flowers to that hot sunny planting. Deer ignore it, hummingbirds and bees mob it. Well-drained soil and occasional water. Remove spent flowers to encourage more bloom. Marries nicely with blue Penstemon, Salvia or Solanum.
