Lovely and fragrant dark-purple flowers appear continuously from spring to summer on this beautiful mounder, lush soft green foliage is gorgeous when planted in masses and along paths in the shade garden. S-Sh/M
This is one of the easier Corydalis for us to grow and it blooms the longest! Ferny blue green deciduous foliage on this slowly expanding perennial 10” high and 24” wide is dainty. Fragrant tubular plum violet purple flowers in profusion top the clumps April July, often repeating later if cut back after bloom. Prefers moist, humusy, well drained soil in sun (cooler areas) to light shade (hot areas). Nice in rock gardens. Deer resistant.
Drink in the multitudes of pendulous, white-flecked flowers adorning this sweetly fragrant and richly hued, quick-to-establish Corydalis. These blooms really are the color of blackberry wine, and set against the fernlike, blue-green leaves, give a heady liveliness to the garden, especially when contrasted with the golden blades of Hakonechloa 'All Gold'.
This early-emerging beauty has blue-green, ferny leaves which provide a backdrop for hundreds of ultra-fragrant flowers the color of blackberry wine. It holds its slightly silvered foliage all spring, summer, and fall with a cascading habit, excellent in baskets or over walls. Takes heat and humidity! Cut back after bloom to freshen foliage.
