Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Well-named for the deep soft blues and purples that look like a fine summer night feels (all that?s missing is the stars!); a lovely cool groundcover for the shade. PSh-Sh/M
A clump forming, evergreen perennial. Large oak-like, velvety, very dark red-green leaves, bearing a lighter patina, are held on slender stems to form a compact dome. In spring tall spikes of small white flowers appear. A delightful foliage plant for light shade. Remove old leaves as required and provide plenty of organic matter.

One of our favorite purple-leafed Heucheras, the leaves of this elegant selection appear literally to be made of purple-black velvet. Plant in dappled shade and watch the sunlight sparkle devilishly off the iridescent foliage.
7" plush, slate black leaves, with complex metallic purple overlays. Great with gold Hosta. It has shimmering leaves that are actually velvety to the touch. These show best in partial shade. Americana breeding gives heat and humidity tolerance.
