An evergreen hybrid with very lacquered, deeply veined, long and narrow dark green leaves, and flat clusters of fragrant white flowers from pink buds in May. 8' x 8' size creates a nice, dependable screen with distinctive foliage. Minimum temperature: -20 °F
A hybrid made in Prague around 1955, rhytidophyllum x utile, the lustrous rugose leaves, glossy above and stellate tomentose beneath, are a bit smaller than rhytidophyllum, and almost evergreen here. The clusters of pink buds open to reveal creamy white flowers, it is an imposing specimen that can reach 8-10 feet in size.
This viburnum should find good acceptance with the crowd who likes all evergreen plants. Fast growing to 6'-8' in ten years, eventually reaching 10' tall. Some pruning helps to thicken up young plants. Shiny leathery leaves and large slightly fragrant flowers have made this one of our favorite all around shrubs. Recommended by: Garden Clubs of America. Awards: Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.

Fast-growing, multi stemmed, shrub to 6-10 ft and wide, perfect for an architectural specimen or screen with its dark green, puckery leaves, felty on the undersides. In spring, pink tinged buds open to umbels of white, spicey scented flowers followed by red berries turning shiny black. This cross between V. rhytidophyllum and V. utile prefers sun or part shade and regular summer water. Evergreen in USDA zone 7 and frost hardy in USDA zone 5. Prune after flowering before new buds form.
A most beautiful and very fast-growing semi-evergreen Viburnum With slender, graceful branches and an rounded, upright for, it reach 6-10' in height. The 2-4" long, oval leaves have a puckered texture and deeply incised veins, dark green above and white felty beneath. Pretty pink buds open to creamy white flowers born in clusters 2-4" wide and the end of the branches. Altogether pleasing! The blooms have some fragrance which is a light, spicy scent. Grows very fast! Probably semi-evergreen in very cold zones.
