Nursery contributed plant descriptions

One of the prettiest and easiest bulbs you can grow! This California native features tubular, milky-blue flowers contrasted with vivid indigo mid-veins. 14” tall, grassy foliage provides a delicate support for this Summer bloomer. Umbels of 2” elongated flowers seem to pop up overnight in late Spring and last well into mid-Summer. Make sure to plant this reliable bulb en masse for a wonderfully showy woodland flower display. It will naturalize readily in most soils and a bit of regular moisture during the growing season will bring you a fuller display each year. Brodiaeas are a perfect complement planted in front of smaller perennials like Gaillardias and Agastache or they can be a fine addition to a bed of cool blues and purples. Makes an excellent cut flower.
Triteleia 'Rudy' is a gorgeous hybrid that blooms in late spring or early summer with clusters of 1.5 inch long, funnel-shaped, white flowers with a glowing purple stripe down the middle of each tepal. The flowers are held in umbels of up to 25 flowers on 1-2 foot tall wiry stems. The narrow, linear leaves go dormant at the time of flowering. Appreciates a dry rest period after going dormant in summer.
Small bulb that produces pale blue funnel shaped flowers adorned with dark blue stripes. 10 inches tall and keep dry when dormant in summer.
