Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Thalictrum delavayi is a tall, ethereal beauty with dark purple stems and pendulous buds like lavender raindrops opening to reveal lavender wing-like petals above dangling yellowish stamens in summer. Meadow rue is a group of stately perennials that also have attractive columbine-like foliage and are perfect for the middle to back of the border. Plants appreciate even moisture. Pollinator attractor. Deer and rabbit resistant.

Perennial clumps of ferny foliage create a base for 3-5’ tall flower stems capped with airy clusters of lavender-pink flowers with prominent yellow stems, mid-summer to fall. Rich, moist, well drained soils in sun to part shade; nice vertical element with a ‘see-through’ quality. Deer and rabbit resistant; good cut flower.
