Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Exaggerated pea-like, vermilion blooms flower in late spring to summer giving way to inflated ornamental pods that eventually become almost as bright as the flowers. It does wonderfully well as a container specimen growing 3 ft. tall x 4 ft. wide. Make sure to choose a big and interesting pot! The soft blue-green leaves are pinnate ovals, small and pretty. Minimum temperature: 10°F
