Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Rosettes of tiny succulent leaves which are intensely silvery-white sit perched on pink stems spreading to form a delightful 2-4" tall by 24" wide mat. It is absolutely gorgeous creeping among rocks, trailing over the edge of a pot or trimming a border. Vivid-yellow flowers cover the mat in summer. Although we cannot vouch for the flavor, this sedum is edible and is used as a vegetable garnish. S-PSh/M-D/GDr

Small glaucous, very succulent rosettes on wiry little stems make this a great addition to the front of the border or a rock garden.
Excellent as an attractive succulent ground cover, Cape Blanco has soft white foliage with pinkish overtones on tiny rosettes with yellow flowers. Only about 2 inches high it spreads at a moderate rate yet is easily controlled. Enjoys part to full shade with good drainage (grit, small rocks, or sand mixed in soil). Takes light shade or full sun in cool summer areas. Hardy to about 5 degrees F. Cape Blanco has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. Sky thinks it's the most beautiful of the low growing sedums.
This selection of our native sedum is probably the preeminent groundcovering stonecrop. It would be hard to live without it. The foliage is silver-white and sports bright yellow flowers in summer. The winter foliage can develop tints of red.
Small tight rosettes of pruniose silvery gray leaves form low hummocks topped by nearly spherical inflorescences, found on Cape Blanco on the Oregon coast. ZONE 5
Dense, compact form to 2" tall and spreading in favorable sites. Flat rosettes of fleshy, silvery-green leaves with clusters of tiny, yellow flowers above the foliage in summer. Once rooted, it needs little water in cool summer climates and tolerates considerable shade. Excellent in containers or used in rock gardens. Hardy to 5F. Oregon.

Full sun to light shade in well-drained soil with little summer water. 4" tall x 12" wide. Stems root easily, adding more plants. Frost hardy in USDA zone 5.
Native sedum from WA to CA and we assume this selection is from Cape Blanco in southern Oregon and is notable for the very white coating on leaves. These grow mat-like on rocks giving them a frosted appearance. The yellow flowers are profuse often covering the plant entirely.
