Blue-gray leaves mix well with many other neighbors and the fuzzy wine-red, bottle-brush flowers that bob above the foliage are yet another lively treat. Moist, heavy soil is just fine. 2'T x 18"W Minimum temperature: -40°F
An assemblage of refined, blue-gray, feathery foliage gives way to slender, branching stems and tightly arranged, finger-length blooms in vivid, dark red shades. Earlier to flower than other Sanguisorbas, this enticing perennial cavorts with Penstemon 'Raven' and Achillea 'Sawa Sawa' in our border.
A medium sized Burnet for moist gardens, forming clumps of dark green scalloped foliage topped with maroon red bottle brush flowers on 30" in early summer. Butterflies adore this plant!
Fun & easy! This hard to find native of Alaska makes for a strong, reliable perennial in the garden. Dense, 3” - 4”, rich crimson-maroon “bunny tail” blooms bob on the end of slender, branching, upright stems from May thru July & remain pretty long after, as the seed heads retain the maroon color. A big plus is the very attractive, feathery, blue-gray foliage making a neat clump that looks good when it’s not in bloom.
