Nursery contributed plant descriptions

Lightly waving on slender 10 inch stems, lemon-yellow flowers are held above narrow, pleated, gray-green leaves. It performs well in a sunny, dry rockery, in clay, or is equally happy in a moist sandy area, too. Slowly naturalizing, it will cheer you on through spring, and after a mid-season dormant period, will lustily revive in early fall. Native to southwestern Europe. Clumping; deer-resistant.Minimum temperature: -10°F
Easy species with tufts of grass like leaves and 1" lemon yellow flowers; it goes summer dormant then reappears in fall. ZONE 4
