(AKA ‘Andenken an Friedrich Hahn’) When this name was shortened, the price went down! This tough and hardier Beard Tongue has outlived many others in our garden. Quickly creates a 2’ mound of fine textured leaves generously decorated with tubular garnet red flowers with striped red throats that are hummer and butterfly candy! Sun to light shade, best with occasional irrigaton, average garden soil. Blooms all summer and fall. USDA Z7
Deepred- maroon flowers; tough & dependable
A vigorous sprawling perennial carrying bright red foxglove flowers. Deep green lance shaped leaves are symmetrically arranged on long stems. Give space to root into the ground. Flowers throughout the warmer months. Try not to disturb the roots. One of the oldest hybrid Penstemons bred in 1918, and still probably the most floriferous and vigorous cultivar available.

A fast grower as well as reliable bloomer, 'Garnet' can reach 3' high and 2' across. The slender ruby-colored stems bear narrow, toothed green leaves and garnet-colored flowers from June to October; individual blossoms have a white throat marked with thin, red lines. The outermost flowering stems, heavy with blossom, often arch away from the center of the plant making it an elegant selection for containers. One of the hardiest hybrids, it persists longer than most in a favorable site.
Lance shaped foliage bears spikes of deep red flowers throughout the summer months. 2' tall x 2' wide
