Perennial poppy with extra-large, glowing red flowers with a mysterious black center; basal clumps of foliage are hairy and serrated. Flowers in late spring to early summer on stems 30-36” tall. Plants need a dryish soil with decent drainage and sun. Deer and critter resistant; will multiply if happy. Nice cut flower. Plant crown high and keep mulch/compost off the crown.
