Exquisite rare perennial from the Andes in Chile…small, toothed, bright green leaves form a rhizomatous mat in cool, moist, partly shaded places. From May to September, 6-9" stems arise topped with nodding scarlet tubular flowers! Seems to prefer well drained, humus enriched soil and acidic, peaty soil with regular moisture. SWEET!

Loves cool, moist, shady areas. Good in shady rock gardens and in containers. Hardy to 5 °F or lower. USDA zone 7.
