To dark heart-shaped leaves revealing (here and there) a glossy burgundy underside, add deep reddish-purple stems topped by yellow mid-summer flowers AND you?ve got an elegant plant for border or pond?s edge. S/M-W PP19302
Wavy-margined leaves of dark green offer a glimpse of burgundy undersides. The undulating leaves create a dynamic feeling in a garden composition. Brilliant golden-yellow daisy flowers make a rich combination that make me think of a medieval curtain of dark green, burgundy and gold brocade. Clumping in habit to 2 feet tall and wide.
Minimum temperature: -30°F
The dramatic, leathery leaves are deep olive green flushes with burgundy and accented with purple stems and leaf undersides. Yellow summer flowers in slender, dense racemes. Best if protected from the hottest sun and kept evenly moist. The Osiris ligularia were bred at Les Jardins Osiris in Quebec and represent an exciting new direction for this genus.
Wedge shaped green leaves with purple undersides. Ruffled and fringed leaf edges. Burgundy leaf petioles. Yellow, daisy-like flowers on 2 foot tall stems in midsummer. Zones 4-9.
