Tropical looking bold plants forming clumps of glossy chocolate brown foliage all season. Clusters of orange-yellow daisies on 3' stems appear in mid summer. Ligularias love moisture and are especially effective when planted along a stream.
If you already know and love Ligularia 'Othello' here's an even better plant. 'Britt-Marie Crawford' is a low growing Ligularia to 30" with the deepest burgundy/black leaves and orange daisy-like flowers. An exciting new perennial destined to become an essential gardening plant. If you love burgundy foliage but dislike bright yellow like garden writer Marjorie Harris, do what she does. Snip off the flower stems before they open!

Saucer leaves of such a glossy black you can almost see a reflection in them make this the darkest Ligularia yet!; the 18"mound of foliage is topped (in late summer) by striking golden daisies on 3-4' stems. PSh/Med PPatentAF PV
Big, Black and Beautiful. Great black purple maroon foliage and large yellow daisy flowers makes this a great new introduction. Loves a moist rich soil where it can really beef up the size of its leaves. It's true. Once you had black, you'll never go back. PP16113
Fantastic selection with deep purple-black 10 inch leaves with a silver sheen. Golden orange flowers on 3 foot stems in July. 2 ft wide plants. Needs regular water.
