    Kniphofia 'Alcazar' is a broadleaf semi-evergreen perennial with green foliage. In spring and summer red flowers emerge. Features grassy texture. Attracts hummingbirds. Grows well with sun and even moisture - regular water. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers to be dry in summer. Does well in gritty, rich and well-drained soil. A good option if you're seeking something heat tolerant and verticillium wilt resistant.

    Kniphofia 'Alcazar' has large, dramatic, four foot tall spires of glowing reddish orange, tubular flowers atop bronze stems in summer. This is a vigorous and stately red hot poker with presence and drama. Plant in full sun in rich, well-drained soils.
