A 'Great Plant Picks' winner for the PNW! – full sun to full shade – any soil – handsome fans of evergreen leaves striped w/ cream – grown for its foliage but rarely has blue iris flowers followed by orange berries…18-24" h, well behaved, looks pretty just about ANYWHERE! Our first offering of this slow-to-propagate beauty!
Boldly variegated white brushstrokes on mint-green lance-shaped leaves form 2' x 2' evergreen clumps. It may bloom, though that is not what it's all about, and it has not set any seed in our garden. Not to worry, though, this Iris is a terrific landscape asset; striking and bold strap leaves are visually exciting right through the winter - a good way to get striking spikes without those more tender spiky plants. Well-behaved and obliging in terms of soil, sun exposure, and water.Minimum temperature: -10°F
