Showy evergreen shrub has black stems covered in silvery-green foliage. Attractive, lilac-purple flowers. Hardy in the Northwest. Plant in well drained soil and water regularly through the growing season. These versatile plants are excellent for borders, containers and mass plantings.
One of the first hebes we grew and it still holds a favored spot because of its tiny silver leaves, narrow, wiry black stems, and smoky pink flowers in June and July. 1' tall x 2' wide. Evergreen shrublet. Minimum temperature: 0°F
Tiny gray foliage covers this little shrublet. The plant will get 12”x18”. The evergreen foliage makes a nice show on this rock garden plant.
An evergreen shrub with an open arching habit. The small grey leaves which are sometimes edged in red contrast starkly with the thin black branches. The flowers are small and light blue-mauve and bloom in early summer. 'Quicksilver' is a seedling of H. pimeleoides selected for its markedly grey foliage.
Low silvery-grey small leaves white flowers
Indigenous to New Zealand, this sprawling, easy-to-grow evergreen shrublet is full of charm. Prized by florists, its smooth, arching and lengthy black stems seem to twinkle with small, silvery blue-green leaves that are neatly arranged in close-set, opposite pairs. Featuring a wiry demeanor, unique colors, and in summer, pale lilac flowers, 'Quicksilver' adds an inspired contrast to Rosmarinus 'Sawyer's Blue's stiff erect spires.
A small, evergreen shrub. Tiny, silvery blue leaves are held along black stems. During the warmer months dense spikes of tubular, lavender flowers with prominent stamens are produced. Prune regularly to promote compact growth and flower production.

Small upright woody perennial, 'Quicksilver' grows to 2' or less with an equal spread. The wiry black stems hold tiny silver-gray leaves creating a lovely form for the foreground of any sunny garden. Plants tolerate pruning well, and our Field Manager here at the nursery has created a lovely potted specimen that graces the entrance to our office.
A very pretty AND well-named plant, this slowly-spreading mounder (to 18"high x 30"wide) has tiny, intensely silver-grey leaves accented by clusters of bluish-purple flowers over a long sumr season. Sun/Med
One of the hardiest hebes and most beautiful. Densely branched shrub, low growing, to 1-1.5 ft tall and almost 3 ft wide, with blue-gray, glaucous leaves on dark stems for a showy contrast. A chance selection at County Park Nursery in the UK, this is one of the most popular hebes. Sun to part sun with good drainage and normal water. Frost hardy in USDA Zone 7.
Evergreen shrublet, 12" tall spreading to about 18". Tiny leaves of glowing silver are dense on contrasty black stems. Pale purple flowers are an afterthought. Full sun to part shade, well drained soils, some summer water. Will cascade a bit over a wall…makes a bright small scale ground cover…accent, edging. Has been reliably hardy here in the PNW where other hebes have not!
Fetching little mutant that delights with its wiry black stems clad in tiny silver leaves. Light lilac flowers are fine but superfluous considering the exceptional ornamental merit of habit and form. This is best in a mild garden or microclimate. Fine in town but not 1000' up in the foothills.
