Nursery contributed plant descriptions

This select male clone boasts a compact, upright habit to 25-40'. Its best feature is its distinctive, drooping, narrow and deeply cut leaves (like fish tails) which give it a lovely, lacey appearance; especially gorgeous in fall when they are richly golden. 'Saratoga' makes a fine street or lawn tree. Male trees are chosen if you prefer not to deal with odoriferous Ginkgo fruits (delicacy though they are!). S/M
Deciduous. A compact ovular to conical crown with dense foliage. Deeply cut narrow foliage gives the tree a lacey look.
Compact upright habit with distinctive drooping fishtail-like leaves. Quite unique from other Ginkgo selections. 25' tall deciduous tree.Minimum temperature: -30°F
One of our favorites, an attractive male selection with narrow, elongated leaves. Definitely a "top three" selection.
A male clone from the Saratoga Horticultural Foundation; our stock plant is an irregular vase shaped multi-trunked specimen with dense rather slender leaves and supposedly excellent fall color, which seems to me to be about the same yellow as any other Ginkgo.
The leaves on Saratoga are distinctive as they are more incised, giving the tree a slightly lacier look.
A variety with dense symmetrical branching. Will grow 40' x 30' especially bred for a broad canopy making it the best of the genus for a shade tree.
