Nursery contributed plant descriptions

A rounded, dwarf form of the ancient Ginkgo. This cultivar has a rounded crown with dense, slow growth. The leaves turn a beautiful butter-yellow in the fall.
This very unusual Ginkgo becomes a dense fan-shaped shrub rather than a tree. Slow-growing to eventually reach 5-10' in height and perhaps 3-4' in width. Although it is a male clone, it gets its unusual name of 'Chi Chi' (meaning breasts) as a reference to the swollen buds which appear on the bark as the plant matures. It is quite a sight when it turns rich gold in fall and attractive always. S/M
A dense, multi-stemmed shrub form of Ginkgo. This dwarf variety grows in a fanlike shape with the same reliable fall color you have come to expect from Ginkgos. A very rare selection. Growth Rate slow
Also know as 'Tschi Tschi' but probably named for the unusual growths found on mature Ginkgos called chi-chis. This is a dense, multi-stemmed, shrubby tree that grows in a fanlike shape. It is a fruitless dwarf that will rarely exceed 4-5'. Very good choice!

Instead of a majestic 60' tree, this is a shrubby 16' mound. The leaves are smaller too although still the distinctive shape. Zone 4.
Dense small tree with corky pointy bark projections. Slow growth to 10' tall by 3-4' wide. Golden fall color as all the blessed Ginkgos have.
